Xu Kang, male, a renowned accomplished purple clay artisan and a rising star with great future potential. Born in 1988 in Dingshu Town, Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, he graduated from Jiangsu Institute of Commerce and Technology. In 2006, he became a disciple of Feng Xuefeng to learn the full handcrafting techniques of traditional purple clay teapot shapes. Later, he received guidance from Yuan Guoqiang, a Provincial Master of Chinese Handicrafts. He specializes in fully handcrafting traditional plain-body purple clay teapots, and his works speak for their exceptional craftsmanship.
