The Jingzhou Shipiao Teapot (commonly known as Jingzhou Stone Ladle Teapot; also called the Plump Shipiao) stands as the benchmark of modern Zisha Shipiao teapots. It was finalized and created in 1948 by Gu Jingzhou, the towering master of Zisha art in the 20th century. A landmark refinement based on the traditional Mansheng and Ziye Shipiao, it ranks among the Three Great Shipiao Styles alongside the two classics.

It features a plump, flattened-round body with lines that are gentle yet powerful, free of harsh angles and boasting smooth, warm transitions. The straight spout delivers a brisk, steady stream; the triangular loop handle is robust and fits comfortably in the palm. The flat, arched knob blends seamlessly with the lid. The three round peglike feet (also called Go-stone feet) are neatly attached, ensuring exceptional stability.
